About the Role
As Principal Signalling Design Engineer you will undertake design development commissions (Grip 2-4) and act as a client focus for signalling development activities. You will manage Grip 2-4 signalling packages and teams of staff responsible for their production. You will produce and independently check signalling plans, calculations, reports and specifications and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. You will provide technical expertise and support to team members and mentor junior staff.
About You
It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of the signalling business and signalling systems. You will have a thorough understanding, backed by technical qualifications of main line signalling systems. You have your IRSE Licence Categories 1.1.150A and 1.1.160. Demonstrable experience is required of involvement on signalling scheme development on complex projects subject to Signalling Schemes Review Panel and ROGS Approval Process. You should be capable of undertaking or leading studies as defined by the company in respect of any aspect of signalling within the UK or abroad.
